Hello, lovers. I am so ecstatic to share a glimpse of what we do around here. Paper Cliché is a full service design studio specializing in modern, romantic semi-custom wedding stationery. Our focus on combining luxury print methods, premium materials, and a restrained approach to modern invitation design is aimed at creating keepsakes to cherish forever.

We gasped a little when we got these images back. A downright dream of a content day with Wilde and Sage Co (the queen of content days herself) captured by Carrie Rogers. Set against the backdrop of Sea Ranch with rolling hills along the coastline, it was easy for magic to unfold.

We created an elopement announcement for the first suite featuring sofly textured paper and a coastal inspired fine art envelope liner. Minimalist typography and simplicity paired with hand torn name cards made from the prettiest organic paper.

Capturing the light and effortless romance of the coast, this custom stationery suite was designed for couples who love organic, ethereal wedding stationery with an editorial edge. The goal was to balance a refined, minimalist aesthetic with rich, tactile details that feel grounded in natural Southern California elegance.

For the focal invitation design, we layered understated elements to create an intentional, fine-art feel without overwhelming the palette. Key design highlights included:

Printed on heavy, rustic deckle-edge cotton handmade paper with deep, pillowy letterpress impressions for a timeless, tactile finish.

Tonal White Color Palette | A deliberate pairing of warm, soft alabaster and crisp bright whites that created subtle dimension and visual depth.

Fine Art Embellishments | Finished with flowing, hand-dyed silk ribbon and translucent, opalescent wax seals individually stamped with real ocean sea shells—a subtle nod to coastal California romance.

Day-of Wedding Paper & Reception Details

Carrying the stationery narrative into the reception space creates an elevated, cohesive guest experience from the moment guests find their seats. The tabletop paper goods mirrored the breezy, textured elegance of the initial suite:

Custom Menu Cards | Printed on matching textural cotton stock, anchoring each place setting with minimalist typography and airy layouts.

Hand-torn Place Cards | Featuring raw, deckle-trimmed edges and organic calligraphy to bring individualized warmth to every seat.

Coordinating Table Numbers | Designed with matching proportions and subtle paper textures to tie the floral centerpieces and tablescapes together seamlessly.

By letting raw materiality, layered textures, and artisanal print techniques lead the design, this suite showcases how minimalist stationery can feel rich, romantic, and undeniably luxurious for a coastal fine-art wedding.

A limewash painted welcome sign paired with organic hand lettering. We hoped to capture something visually organic that played off its surroundings. It became the entrance to a magical view indeed!

A bar menu on silky fabric finished with whimsical hand lettering and shells, and set against the prettiest backdrop we ever did see.

The tabletop was a favorite, menu cards printed on the textured stock tying back to the invitation suite. The place cards brought in texture with hand torn edges, and table numbers to compliment.
