Danielle’s obsessions include but are not limited to: weddings, typography, melodramatic movies and a good red blend. She was born and raised in Costa Mesa, California where she still resides and is raising her spirited daughter with the love of her life. Danielle has a background in events & hospitality and earned her special little piece of paper at Interior Designer’s Institute. She has been creating unique wedding paper since 2016 and is immensely grateful to get to do what she is passionate about for a living.

how it all started…

Danielle fondly recalls pressing flowers into handmade paper with her grandmother as a child, obsessing over different handwriting techniques in grade school and eventually sign-making and creating invitations for all of her friends and family in her 20’s while attending Interior Design school.

Paper Cliché was then born out of a curiosity turned passion as Danielle accidentally stumbled into the wedding industry back in 2015. She spent every spare minute teaching herself lettering, calligraphy, graphic design and marketing.

All of these things, as well as the experience of helping hundreds of couples over the years, came together to form what Paper Cliché is today. Your favorite boutique stationer based in Costa Mesa, California serving couples worldwide. Fine art calligraphy and the love of paper continues to be the heart of the business but Danielle sparks much joy creating an elevated customer experience for both the couple and their guests.

I found Paper Cliché through an instagram post and instantly knew I wanted their signage for my wedding reception. Danielle did an amazing job capturing the aesthetic for all my wedding reception signage! From the welcome sign, to the bar sign, and to the table menus and guestbook sign, everything was impeccable and flowed so nicely together. My guests were definitely in awe of the presentation of everything.

We are so happy we hired Dani to create our invitations, table numbers, and table name tags ! They all turned out beautifully. Everyone especially loved the calligraphy. We had so many compliments! Dani was so friendly, amazing, and professional. We’d highly recommend!
