When to Set Your RSVP Date

When should you set your RSVP date?! It’s essential to establish a clear timeline for RSVPs to ensure a smooth planning process for your wedding stationery. Read all the details below.

01

Mail Invitations // 8-10 weeks before the wedding. This timeframe allows guests an opportunity to make arrangements and respond to your invitation. If you have sent a Save the Date, aim for 8 weeks+ out. No Save the Date or destination? Send 12 weeks+ out.

02

Set RSVP Date // 5-6 weeks before the wedding. Establishing your RSVP deadline within this window provides sufficient time to assess guest attendance and finalize arrangements with vendors. *Earlier is better but too early may not yield the best results either as people may not feel any urgency to reply and forget!

03

Send a Reminder // 1 week prior to RSVP deadline. Consider sending a polite reminder to guests who have not yet responded. This can encourage timely replies and help you finalize your count.

04

Confirm Final Guest Count // 5 weeks before the wedding. Use this timeframe to compile your final guest list and communicate it to your planner, stationer, venue, and caterer, allowing them to prepare accordingly.
